Ade’s Diary: June 2023

Ade’s Diary: June 2023

June has been a lovely month. Summer arrived suddenly, and London has been bathed in sunshine for the majority of the month.

One of the things I love doing most in the summer is having a picnic, so with the weather in cooperation, I had my first picnic of the season with my sister.

I saw Once on this Island, which is a musical I‘ve been obsessed with ever since I was a teenager. It written for an all black cast, and this particular production was a lovely song to Haiti.

Work wise, we’ve been working hard on restocking some customer favourites, and I’m happy to say we have a very healthy RESTOCK of bras.  I’ve been living in my cotton wireless bra for summer. And the Wireless is a school drop-off favourite giving I’m generally sprinting after my son on his balance bike.

I managed to enjoy some time off work this month with a family holiday to Greece! It was lovely and a welcome break to spend time with my parents and siblings along with my little family.

I made a promise to myself to read a book a month, and I read the Lonely Londoners by Sam Selvon. A moving book about men of the Windrush generation making their way in London.

I closed off the month with an intense work week. The team and I are working on some exciting things to build the business better, so I’m excited about all July holds!
