Ade's Diary - December 2024

Ade's Diary - December 2024

December always brings me so much joy.  I love celebrating Christmas.  I love the story of Christ’s birth, I love the emphasis on celebrating, I love the family time, I love the lights, I love it all!

I always go all out celebrating the festive season, but given the many challenges this year has presented, I really tried to enjoy every moment.

I’ve created so many Christmas traditions over the years, and it takes a lot of planning to fit them all in.  Some of my favourite things this year were the Christmas lights at Kew Gardens, taking my son to see Father Christmas, Christmas at Doddington Hall, Festive Afternoon Tea at Claridges, and of course seeing the Nutcracker.

The Nubian Skin had a really lovely Christmas party.  We’ve all worked so hard this year, and we had a real treat.  Seeing Cinderella at the Royal Opera House.  We’re a small but mighty team, and these ladies have been such a blessing this year.  We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We worked right up until just before Christmas, but then we all switched off.  I got to spend Christmas in Nigeria, and I took full advantage of the sun.  Lots of tennis, pool time and of course copious amounts of food!  One of the big highlights was going to the Lekki Crafts Market where I picked up some lovely things.

I hope you all wonderful Festive Season.  And wishing all of you a very blessed 2025.
